Harmony Design delivered a full turnkey service for this project, from initial concepts to final staging. The brief was to change the layout to allow for parties and make normal life easier. A top priority was to add a utility area and a downstairs toilet.
The original layout felt dark, impractical, and closed off; the family was drying laundry around the house on radiators, which creates health issues as well as being unsightly. We happily took on the challenge and created a layout that added a hallway, utility cupboard, and downstairs toilet, as well as creating a nicely flowing sociable hub connecting the kitchen, diner, and lounge with the outside.
The result is a well-connected, flowing layout, designed with the clients finishing preferences in mind. The kitchen now sits at the heart of the home with door access to the garden, allowing for gorgeous summer parties!
